Part 1: In this session, viewers will learn the accounting basics for running an association. Topics covered include nonprofit accountings basics, rules and regulations that must be considered when operating a tax exempt organization, as well as how to create an annual budget. There's a playbook that you can use to leverage the power of this transformative platform for getting the proverbial word out. This training is a brief refresher on the platform and includes information on getting to ACA Connect and navigating once you’re in the system.

This article highlights how language used by professional counselors and trainees requires self-awareness. The potential adverse effects of labels that equate people with a psychiatric diagnoses may foster heightened levels of stigma, including internalized stigma. This study provides the first empirical evidence for practitioners to eliminate the term “schizophrenic” from clinical practice and educational programs.
Learning Objectives:
1.Consider humanistic and social justice implications of language used by professional counselors and trainees.
2.Learn why practitioners and trainees should refrain from referring to a client/student by diagnostic labels, such as ""schizophrenic"".
3.Explore alternative terminology intended to empower clients and reduce stigma.

Provided is a brief review of accountability and SLO assessment movements in higher education, a general program evaluation model, illustrate ways in which these processes link with the types of data you will utilize in program evaluation, and identify resources for learning more about the big-picture program evaluation process, explore what we mean by SLOs and discuss the process of creating SLOs to guide program and course assessment processes. Attention to curriculum mapping as a means for ensuring that curricula includes the types of experiences students need to develop SLOs, and procedures and tools for crafting broad-based, curriculum-linked, SLO-focused assessment plans.
